Affinity Team Updates

The theme for this year has been Resilience: Change. Adapt. Innovate. 2020 has required us to be resilient, embrace change, adapt to a new normal and innovate in the face of challenges. Here are examples across our entire team:

  • Our Business Manager, Beth Berns, put her creative sewing and embroidery skills to work and spent personal time making each of us a custom Affinity Wealth Partners mask – Thank you, Beth!

  • Relationship Manager Andrew Wall spent many grueling hours working through all of the courses required to complete his Certified Financial Planner designation. With testing centers forced to shut down earlier this year, he is now aiming to take the test in Spring of 2021.

  • A few of our Associates had to take on a new role as teacher to their children while also working from home. We’re happy to report all of the kids were able to successfully finish and start the new school year!

  • Another first for our team involved a remote branch audit. Crystal Leach, Senior Registered Relationship Manager, worked tirelessly to adapt all of our records electronically through scanning and uploading. She also scheduled phone interviews for our staff, in lieu of the usual annual onsite visit.

  • This summer we were excited to warmly welcome Senior Financial Advisor Mitch Walker and his clients to the Affinity team. Mitch and his wife Mary felt that Affinity and our culture was a perfect match, and have adapted beautifully as we brought his clients aboard.

  • Our Relationship Manager, Mary Keyes, spent many months planning her daughter’s wedding that was all set to take place last April in New York, not knowing she was going to have also coordinate a postponed wedding for October. But just like everything Mary does, she faced the challenge head on and Charlotte was married on October 22!
